Poppy Field

Poppy Field
  • I got up early to visit this location this morning. The field is a five minute walk from my office. I've never been there before but Becky was keen to go after I'd been given a tip off by a friend (thanks, Sandra). She forced me to get out of bed at 6.30 so that we could get there before the sky clouded over. If I was really dedicated I would have got there before sun up. I aspire to that level of dedication, but right now I need my sleep too much. Anyway, the fields were almost overpoweringly red. Quite an incredible show of vibrant colour. The poppies are already past their best and I imagine they won't be around much longer. But then all good things come to an end.
